FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How long are the sessions?

Sessions are typically 30, 45, or 60 minutes depending on each learner’s needs. We typically see students 2-3x per week.

  • Do you offer in-person sessions?

No, Synergize Learning only offers instruction through Zoom video conference, and here’s why! Seeing students in our virtual classrooms allows our specialists more time to serve a larger caseload of students and to fully personalize each student’s lesson plans.

  • I’m worried online instruction might not be a fit for my student!

We assess each learner during an initial intake session to determine if virtual learning is appropriate for them. We are happy to report that most students are excellent candidates for online instruction. Keep in mind that most learners are already familiar with devices such as tablets and laptops; some students are more technology savvy than adults!

If at any point we see that online sessions are no longer a right fit for a student, we communicate this concern to the guardian right away and discuss next steps together.

  • What is the typical financial investment?

Our sessions are billed monthly at a rate of $155/hour, with the option for 30, 45, or 60 minute sessions and a frequency of up to four sessions per week. Your child’s optimal schedule will be determined by an initial needs assessment and parent/guardian consultation.

The longevity of each student’s schedule also varies depending on individual learning targets and the child’s learning profile; however, we recommend a minimum commitment of one school semester to ensure that adequate time is allotted towards the designated learning goal(s). We believe that lasting changes in a student’s learning are best compared to a marathon, not a sprint!

  • Can you speak with my learner’s teacher at school?

We strongly prefer and encourage our families to connect us with other professional’s on the student’s team! This allows us to align our learning targets to further support what they’re working on in school. Our tuition includes routine progress updates and ongoing collaboration with other professionals, such as teachers and SLPs, on the student's learning team.

  • How do I get started?

The first step in our intake process is scheduling a free consultation to discuss your student’s learning profile and specific areas in need of support or enrichment. We look forward to supporting your learner on their academic journey!
