Summer 2021 - Kindergarten Prep (Levels 1 & 2 available)
Jumpstart your learner's kindergarten experience with daily practice of letter sounds, simple decoding, and concepts of print! In each Kindergarten Prep class, two learners will meet with our learning specialists for 30 minutes each day, Monday through Friday, for four consecutive weeks. Students will also have access to our library
of interactive, self-checking digital activities that they can play at home on the Boom Cards app for additional practice.
Our Level 1 course, available in either July or August, is strongly recommended for students who have not yet mastered all letter names and sounds, or have familiarity with letter sounds but require practice blending sounds together to form words such as at, in, up. Our Level 2 course, available in August, is designed as a seamless continuation of our Level 1 curriculum to extend students' skill building to reading short, decodable books and recognizing short sight words that "don't play fair" such as is, the, go.
In both courses, students will also receive exposure to concepts of print to identify title, author, illustrator, and learn one-to-one word correspondence.
